TAWA held its December Ladies' Luncheon on December 12. The guest speakers of the event were Jenny Jopling from UT Arlington and Dr. Gail Weatherly from Stephen F. Austin State University. Their presentation was about "Distance Education for Women".

Ms Jopling gave a brief history of distance learning and explained what sources are available in today's virtual classroom. Dr Weatherly also talked about 'Core4Women', an online community that unites women seeking information about online learning and women who have knowledge of this method of education. Also Paige Mask, Stephen F. Austin State University, and another faculty shared their online education experiences with the audience. Following the speech the guests enjoyed the delicious lunch prepared by the TAWA ladies.
