TAWA and UNT Professor’s Discussed Importance of Education PDF Print E-mail

TAWA had the opportunity to host the ladies from the University of North Texas (UNT) at the Turquoise Center. The attendees were the Director of Women’s Studies, Dr. Sandra Spencer, the Director of Intensive English Learning Institute (IELI), Eva Bowman, the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Jean Schaake, and Assistant Vice Provost of International Education, Saleha Suleman. TAWA’s purpose for hosting these esteemed intellectuals was to discuss the significance of education for women.
Education is not only important for a bright professional future but also important for the advancement of the human race. TAWA is planning to provide scholarships for living expenses of three female students from Zirve University in Turkey as they will be taking summer classes at UNT. We plan to support more women in the future and continue our great relationship with the ladies from UNT.
